Excellent job completed at our student property which had 6 messy tenants - oven left spotless, inside kitchen units washed, no grease to be found anywhere. I'm happy and the landlord is also that we got all our deposit back which we never expected if you'd seen the mess we left the place in. A pat on the back for the hard working staff of Mayer."

"I booked Mayer Cleaning short notice after my initial booking for an end of tenancy service was cancelled day of. Unfortunately, this service wasn't satisfactory. This is the first time I'm booking this kind of service in the UK, so the quote I filled out myself online had to be altered in person after seeing the property (eg. size of kitchen, furniture...). I appreciated this since cleaning the property accurately for the next tenant was more important to me than the overall cost of the service. You can see my invoice in the photos and what was supposed to be done. **Note: I asked on the day for the carpets to be hoovered only since the landlord is planning on replacing them. Another note, which may be common sense but to me it came as a surprise, the windows will only be cleaned from the inside *this is not a complaint but just a note to someone else who may expect that 'windows' means the whole thing. My biggest mistake was not going in as soon as they were finished to check to see if they actually cleaned properly. If you are booking this cleaning company (and, I'm sure many others), this is an absolute must. Despite booking an end of tenancy clean which is supposed to be an in-depth cleaning service, the job done was a surface clean at best. There was little attention to detail overall. In the kitchen, the cabinet handles were dirty, and some doors were smeared anew. Though the oven was cleaned, the inside wasn't wiped well enough afterwards, leaving a greasy residue of substance. Even though we've spoken at the property that the insides of the cupboards, drawers, (all units) were to be cleaned, I'm unsure if this happened at all. There were grease stains under the cupboards too, which would have easily been cleaned with a simple wipe. I mean, the fan system is so stupid in my flat, that there's a literal accumulation of fat that drips down if it's not wiped. They could have done that, surely. In the living room, the hoovering was very superficial. The walls have been repaired prior to this cleaning service and there was some of that white dust on the floor from sanding down the plaster. It's so easy to clear up this dust–– I've even hoovered it myself in the past. They didn't move the furniture to hoover behind it either, which to me is common sense for an in-depth, end of tenancy clean, but oh well. The small rug in the living room was also neglected from the hoover, even though they seem to have hoovered the carpeted bedrooms... They said they'd fluff the pillows on the couch and put it back together, and this was how the couch was left. It looked very thrown together at the last minute, I can tell because they didn't bother adjusting the underlay which meant they only moved around the decorative pillows at the very most. In the bedrooms, they didn't wipe any furniture whatsoever despite it being included in the quote. The nightstands were dirty, the lamps were dusty. The bathroom floor had smears on it and the taps were covered in limescale. The toilets were untouched. I recommend using Viakal or LimeLight if your industrial-grade solutions aren't doing justice. This is my honest review of the service I received, and I hope that others will have a better experience. I am judging this through the eyes of a new tenant moving in to this flat for the first time–– I would be deep cleaning it myself again if that was the case. I am again thankful for their last minute attendance and for the fact that they were kind enough to alter the quote in person to cater to my lack of experience when booking this service, however when you pay a high price for an in-depth clean and get this instead...it's just disappointing. Perhaps this company is more suited for surface, regular cleans than more complex services as such."
