"I’ve been going to Ego Hair Salon for years and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. The atmosphere is amazing - music, delicious complimentary coffee, treats trolley and, most importantly, experienced, caring and friendly staff. I've had my hair done by almost all of the stylists and they’re all fantastic. It's very clean, trendy, and welcoming. My favourite is a shampoo and head massage which leaves you so relaxed. You’ll find they’re worth every penny you spend, and I have never left disappointed because they’re very client-centred and produce gorgeous results. If you want to go somewhere to feel better about yourself and get pampered, I’d highly recommend it!"

"Iam struggling where to begin with this review because there is so much to say about my experience on 18th July 2019 at the Ego hair salon based in Tettenhall Wolverhampton. I was made to feel anxious, depressed and absolutely humiliated with the salon and the owners (Layla Sedgemore) behaviour and attitude. The treatment I received from her and her team could be closely described as a nightmare. Her lack of professionalism, compassion towards clients and impertinent behaviour, is totally unacceptable. Ellie who is a senior stylist was supposed to do balayage, roots, cut and blow-dry. As she washed my hair after the root colour and bleach, instead of brushing my hair while conditioning she shampooed it twice and left my hair as is which resulted in it getting so many tight knots and tangles. I was alarmed and immediately started to panic as a senior stylist I would think her experience would not have allowed this to happen to any client. Her reply to the damage was "I would've helped to detangle your hair but I've got other appointments that I have to attend to" so her focus was clearly on her next appointment, which was totally unprofessional. Ellie literally left me in tears on the chair with a brush in my hand and a big bottle of conditioner to solve the situation myself. Layla the owner came over to inspect the situation and attempted to cover for Ellie's mistakes and stated she will get someone else to help me. The apprentice trainee, I didn't catch her name, who was nice enough to help me, took her 3 hours to get the big knots out (formed while Ellie washed my hair without conditioner previously) she was sympathetic and understanding. There was no other way to get it out but to literally to pull my hair out, breaking it, no conditioner, no treatment could detangle the big knots. When she finished I was in tears and again anxiety kicked in as she was holding one of my big knot in her hands. Running my hand through my hair, felt like a big part of the hair on the back was missing. I said to the trainee that, I'm going to take this further to seek damages against Ellie and the salon as my hair was destroyed. I would have thought Layla would have apologised for the inconvenience and distress caused in her Salon, instead, she started shouting demanding I get out, she stated: "I have had enough with you, get out!" whilst my hair was still wet and with her actions, I was further humiliated."
