"This is the perfect rental. We spent two weeks in the lovely Garden Flat, and we loved every minute! The flat itself is so nice, perfectly equipped, with a really great kitchen and very comfortable bed. We spent a lot of time cooking and working from the flat, and loved having multiple tables and spaces to eat and work, both inside and out. The garden was absolutely beautiful, great to sit out and have breakfast or a drink before dinner. There are also tons of walking paths straight out the back door, into the gorgeous Surrey Hills. We rented Brompton bikes in Guildford and used them to get around and grocery shop — we dropped off our rental car the second day. Might recommend a mountain bike for this kind of thing, but we had a really great time exploring the area on bikes and on foot. All in all, the best place for a long stay, perfectly placed between nature and city (Dorking was an easy bike ride, and Guildford isn’t too much farther by car.) Louise is a wonderful host, who thinks of everything we might need (and more!) but is also discret. We also loved getting to know Louise’s sweet golden retriever, Bea. We dream of our time there and hope to return someday!"
