"Nice vets that explain things relatively well, have generally had good service here. The only feedback I'd give is that they don't always explain the next steps or possible likely outcomes very well and you have to ask for pricing as they're not very clear at times. I've been caught out before and very surprised that they weren't able to offer night care which then entailed transport and out of hours costs (higher prices than usual) just to monitor an animal over night. I also was not made aware that further few days stay would be needed so my cat ended up in the care of another vet not very local as he needed ongoing monitoring. None of that explained, just the initial procedure (pricing was provided for this) but not any thing beyond that. That's not a one off event, communications can occasionally be unclear or hesitant (understand it's of sensitive nature but a doctor would deliver information carefully but directly if it was us humans) All most people want is transparency and want what is right/best and fair for our pet (as we all want that) but if the £ is undisclosed it can be quite stressful. I understand there can be addtional costs due to the nature of unexpected events but this is aside from that. Lastly, just more for owners peace of mind to be better informed would be really helpful, this will also help us to make better decisions for our little ones, just on a moral basis, even if it isn't the things we want to hear and may be a tricky conversation, whether that's a poor outcome for their health or a potentially large bill. They are really nice people though and the care they have given my animals has been very good as far as the skill of a vet/nurse is concerned - so don't want to sound too critical as for general care with check ups and jabs you have been fantastic over the years and the nurses/assistants clearly love our babies as much as we do, thanks for being caring friendly people that I trust with my pets wellbeing :)"

"the staff and the clinic are very good for me personally, they are people with big hearts, people who really love animals and their work . Thank you for being there, you did everything in your power to save my Fifka, but unfortunately my heart can't stand it. Thank you and respect to all of you!"

"I have just got my puppy and choose Avenue Road for convenience. Having been twice I am more than pleased with the service I have received and my puppy is very relaxed when visiting. I have joined the petplan and have nothing negative to say. The plan is for my peace of mind."

"I was about to move two of my cats to this practice from another one and requested a courtesy phone conversation with one of the vets to understand whether their approach to the illness/challenges they have would be slightly more proactive than my current vet… basically, I just wanted to get some reassurance as with the money I spent I want to get it right, that's all. I spent on my two elderly cats roughly £500 a month because of the issues they have (test, medications, monthly check up visits etc.). I was told that I'd still need to register and would be charged for the conversation. That says a lot about the approach to customers - very disappointing considering the value I'd bring it after just one phone chat. I wish the vet practices would start treating their customers a little more seriously and with some empathy (while still doing a good business!) rather than a cash point machines. Short term thinking in the world of competition."

"Not even worth a star, healthy pets club member and not even been contacted once by the vet whereas a family member gets texts and emails for scheduled appointments, £15 a month for nothing. Big scam."
