"A decent basic hotel room, quiet and clean, but the bed was too soft and neither my husband nor I slept well for two nights. However, we were impressed and very grateful to our helpful receptionist, Carol, who went out of her way to help us work out how to get to Cardiff on match day."

"Its a bit run down. The rooms are tired. And we stayed.for.2.days and our room was not.cleaned or tidied on the 1st night. I would use it again. But only because its cheaper than alternative accommodation. Overall the bed was comfy and the shower and room warm. Basic but adequate."

"Great place to stay, in easy reach of amenities, only a short drive to park and walk into Caerphilly. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again"

"On arrival the building looked like it could use a good clean. We were met at the reception desk to a very strong smell of BO. The room itself was clean, could have done with more tea and coffee. Was woken the next morning at 5am from the room above, sounded like a heard of elephants! We were then woken up a little later, when the fire alarm went off. Obviously someone can't read and left the door open whilst showering. Overall it was very expensive for just the room, we didn't buy breakfast, instead went across the road to Lidl."
