Huw Wilding Dental Surgery

"I joined this dentist because they said they were taking on NHS patients. What a waste of time. I arrived to find an archaic practise, no computers, all paper wallets written by the lady behind the counter. This was my second attempt at my appointment because the lady had lost her note book the first time and my appointment had to be rescheduled. Everything is done in written pen, not computers. And all by one lady who has clearly been there a very long time. Then I discovered that there’s only 1 dentist! And I overheard the receptionist telling another patient that they had just taken on 400 new patients! I waited almost 40 mins past my app time. Saw the dentist, he took X-rays and said he’d look over the weekend and call me Monday. That was 9 weeks ago. I called two weeks in and asked if they had my details as I was expecting a call. I was assured yes they had. Still waiting. I have given up and gone to find another dentist. How 1 dentist and 1 receptionist manage to run the business without any kind of modern system is beyond me. Don’t waste your time. I am really disappointed. Why get someone’s hopes up of you are not able to deliver?"

"If you want to loose your teeth, go to Huw! 5 months ago I had to have an emergency root canal, first day I went in pain he injected me and sent me home! I then spent the next 27 hours in agonising pain. I phoned out of hours and they advised me my dentist should never of left the nerve in there, it should of been removed asap. The next day I went back and demanded the nerve to be removed. He removed the nerve while also damaging my jaw.. I now have a jaw with a protruding joint on one side, which I enquired about when I went back to have the packing removed, which might I add he never did remove it.. 3 times i went back and every time there was an excuse, “ I don’t have the time today” or “ I don’t have any one to help me today” or “ I won’t open it back up now we’ll wait a bit longer” this is a root canal that’s had cotton wool in it for over 4 months! When asking about my jaw the response I got was “there’s nothing wrong” i had to go to the doctors as I’m suffering from bad headaches ever since. I have now been referred to see a maxi-facial specialist to put my jaw back in line. Worst treatment Iv ever received .. new dentist today have picked up on a few things huw never! Iv also been told because the packing has been left for so long the root canal may well fail! Thanks huw! Also he has lost about 6 of my family members who no longer want to go back there. I will be seeking legal advice and I’d advise anyone new in the area looking for a dentist to avoid this one at all costs !"
