"If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. Do not get your hair coloured here. I went to this salon 12 months ago, and had a balayage treatment done. The junior stylist did not explain that I would need multiple appointments (and costs) to complete the look. I went home in tears as my hair was grey and silver, with hints of green. I called up the manager - Charlotte, and she said they could reverse the balayage or do something else. I decided to do an all over pink colour as I had done a few years before. Bleach was left on my hair for 3 hours (All over my head, not just highlights). I told multiple members of staff that my head was burning, felt to be bleeding it was so so painful. My scalp felt so incredibly hot and honestly I was convinced there was blood. I kept going to stand outside just to cool off. I was ignored all day, and when they finally washed off the bleach another member of staff (who I had not met before) began talking about my previous box dyes, which I had only told Charlotte about as she was the one doing my hair. I felt as if all the staff members were whispering and looking at me, I felt embarrassed and to be a joke. A few members of staff around me, and to me, mentioned the previous box dyes I had used over previous years - using it to almost justify what was happening to my hair. They gathered around the reception desk talking quietly and looking over at me constantly. Charlotte spent about an hour blow drying my hair, it was so frazzled from the bleach. I didn’t realise just how bad. She gave me some sample Olaplex treatments to take home and they all waved me off. Over the next few weeks, I noticed hair loss and my hair to be in such a brittle, fragile condition. I was scared to brush it or put it in a bobble incase it all broke off. One year later, I have dyed it back brown to hide the hair loss and uneven layers. The damage Charlotte did to my hair by leaving bleach on for so long is horrific. I complained all day in the salon, and I was left waiting in an out of the way corridor whilst she treated other clients - despite the fact that I was there for a fix which was their error, and I was still neglected that day. I am embarrassed of my hair, ashamed, and I have lost so much confidence. The costs of conditioning treatments are high, and I have had to use them 3x a week for the last year. If you are dying your hair I would not recommend going here, and reading some of the other reviews on here the haircut experiences sound to be the same, especially by Charlotte. I have lost trust in going to hairdressers now, and whilst to some it is just hair, it really can make you feel so low about yourself when it’s snapped, frizzy, uneven lengths due to hair loss, and at one point - bald patches. Hope this helps potential clients."
