"The Playwrights is a lovely little cafe with brilliant views and plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the Coventry Canal Basin. It has great coffee, well cooked food, and excellent service from experienced waiting staff, who really seem to care. We were especially impressed by the vegan selection on the menu, and some of the little touches of detail, such as home made coleslaw, and a choice of tomatoes (roast or plumb). Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the bread used for toast."

"Nice place to visit, staff were really friendly and helpful. I would say overall the food was nice and our group enjoyed the meals. However, I would say the delay in food coming out was noticeable, some food came out separately and my meal specifically was of lower quality and a little cold. However, their extensive menu and good food coming out to other diners makes you want to return."

"Very good ambience. We ordered chocolate milk shake and chocolate muffin ( was good). We did not like the milkshake, it was very bad. Thinking to try main course next time. Very clean place and customer service was also good."
