"Choose this restaurant for some local British fare and the beef Wellington specifically. Had good ratings and certainly did not disappoint. The pastry was perfectly golden brown and crispy full of flavor and the beef was perfectly tender. Probably the best tasting beef I’ve had so far in Europe. The Chef’s table look fascinating if you’re looking for something extra."

"I stopped by here to try the famous sparkling wine from Sussex. I had the Nutty Brut and the Nutty wild and both were extremely enjoyable. The server was training one or more new servers and although the restaurant was empty, he was not very attentive and the wait was long. He apologized and offered my cured meat plate on the house so really appreciated the gesture. 5 stars and will certainly be back. Don’t miss an opportunity to try some fantastic English sparkling."

"We just had dinner in the restaurant and it was amazing! Besides the food being super tasty and high quality, the staff was extremely accommodating with my reservation (past 22h, after going to the theatre). They even started preparing the beef Wellington (highly recommended) before we arrived. Perfect, we will definitely come back!"

"Excellent food! Crispy potato was the best. Duck and Sole were delicious but bones in the fish made it hard to enjoy the food. The disappointment was the bread and oyster were too small. £5 for 4 small slices of bread which should be offered for free as the mains are pricey. The oysters were so small too which not worth the price. Moreover, the food and service were so slow even there was only 2 tables."

"The restaurant is nice, interesting decor and classic feeling. Staff were good, helpful and knowledgeable. Our dishes did take a long time to come out though, despite the emptiness of the restaurant. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about"
