"There is an angel inside Harrow Law Centre, her name is Lisa Doake. I was in a dispute with Home Office for almost 2 years, She always very patient in listening to me (my first language is not English). I was tired of telling the same story over and over again. I asked more than 20 lawyers for help and this angel called Lisa Doake took my case and we won! Congrats on the great job Lisa and thanks to Harrow for taking me in."

"I have been badly advised and mistreated on a personal level. I am M Tauro, and I declare my surname without issues, as what I am about to state is purely factual. I have been badly advised by another firm for whom pro bono clients are dirt. This experience was similar. Firstly, Ms Radhika Sha insisted that there was no worry in responding to the eviction claim up untill the court date! Thie despite the fact that the government website itself states that it one does they will be charged with additional legal costs by the court!! This was later confirmed by a lawyer I paid before taking my defense claim to court. However, that was Not the worse that she did. The attitude toward me when I arrived was disgustinly patronising and disrespectful in multiple ways. Firstly, she sided immediately with the claimant (my landlord is a Dr, so for those who are classist and have discriminatory issues based on class/cast, it is easy to dismiss anyone else completely). Despite the fact that I repeatedly tried to SHOW my evidence of communication and payments to clarity that most of the landlords's claims are in fact false, she PREVENTED me from doing so. Obviously, I am stressed out about the situation but her attitude was offensive beyond this point as she dared to ask me if had mental health issues because I appeared distressed! I had been very badly advised, and it was already three days before the deadline to bring my response to court, she kept repeating not to worry about that, and it was surprising that I was distressed!? I obviously said simply no, and again stated that I am a fully qualified level 3 Assistant manager in mental health care, I am a tutor with ten years of the experience now, and currently studying Neuroscience! Not to mention that I am at least twenty five years older than her. I left unheard and humiliated. Needless to say, I emailed after leaving saying to stop whatever process she started. She kept insisting that she was right, completely ignoring the government website guidelines. But also, she made a remark on my two bank accounts. I repeatedly told her that I am self employed, and that I had just received a loan in order to finish university (my university is highly ranked and extremely expensive, with zero flexibility of payments for working class students). I also explained, quite clearly, that the money would have been paid to university already but there has been an issue from their end, so I had to pay the following week. Clearly, she had issues with mixed ancestry people who must be of a lower class status according to her standards. But NOT wanting to see my evidence, cutting me off and sarcastically ask :' So, is this all lie?' the was just offensive. I understand now that the humiliation is on her. If one cannot go beyond her own limitations and be objective while doing such 'work', it is Not my fault. If you are white or Asian you might be treated better and given information that does not put you at risk. Truthfully, M Tauro"

"I recently had a dispute with Universal Credit. After they rejected my mandatory reconsideration, I was hopeless but found the number of the Harrow Law Center online. I called and managed to speak to Mr David Martinez. He listened to my story, and got me an appoitment for the following week. Long story short, we won our case even before it went to tribunal. He was helpful, supportive, and very professional. We are very grateful for him and the Harrow Law center. Thank you again, for helping us in our case, thank you for believing in us. All the best, highly recommended!!!"
