"A serious incident which has impacted on my partner has highlighted how unprofessionally run and how unsafe this centre is. It is madness that an RYA instructor thought it appropriate to make contact with a paddle board at speed with a boat that had a propeller to the point where my partner had to jump off the paddle board in order to keep himself safe from the what was ironically, the safety boat. Since the incident, the centre has done nothing to support my partner with the psychological impact of the incident and the staff member in question continues to operate a safety boat. Good job he wasn’t physically injured if their regard for psychological injury is anything to go by. My partner is now having to receive treatment for ptsd which has been diagnosed by a psychiatrist and is also under the care of a mental health team. I’d give this centre a wide berth if you care about your mental health and well-being."
