Mont Rose College, Mont Rose House

"Everyone here is nice, friendly and welcoming. However, there were always issues when it came to lessons and/or teaching. For example, the lessons were meant to start at 9:30am according to the timetable, but they would almost always start 45 minutes to an hour late. Some people would turn up for the 9:30 lesson, but some would constantly turn up after 10:30am, and they wouldn't even be told anything. I also feel like I didn't really learn much– most teachers spent most of the time telling us how to write essay rather than teaching us what to actually write in the essays. Some students also were paying someone else to do their work for them, and then send them as their own. Almost all teachers I had were quite open to say they knew who did this, and yet did absolutely nothing about it. This was really frustrating as some of us actually worked hard to do the essays oursleves, and yet others paid someone else to do their work and passed without any problems. Sometimes it's also confusing as you're told by the teachers you'll surely pass the module with your assignment but then you send it and find out you got referred and need to spend hours on fixing it. And the teacgers usually blamed you for getting refferer It's also obvious that most, if not all teachers, are quite new to teaching and don't have much experience. Although this might explain why the teaching isn't the best, this doesn't excuse the low quality of teachinh It's kind of sad as this college has the potential to be great but it's obvious they care more about the money they're getting from students rather than the students themselves."

I wish we had smaller classes with students and access to the cofee shop on the campus in the evening. The teaching was engaging and fun and we had some very good tutors.
