"Good buffet for a gathering. We jad a basement room to ourselves. Staff were flexible about the the time we had to stay. No bar downstairs but staff took orders and waited on. Seemed popular upstairs."

"Popped in for lunch today, not booked but the staff found us a table. Had fish and chips and the chicken burger, absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to return."

"We were just in the pub. The service was really slow. We had to ask someone eventually to take our food order. I had the Thai chicken. It tasted nice but there were only a few pieces of chicken. Others had steak pie and enjoyed it. I would say nice pub for a drink. Too noisy for a meal."

"Staff were great as there were no tables to eat initially but they helped sort that. The food we had was all good and a fantastic selection of drinks. Had a friend over from the States and they enjoyed the whisky and haggis. Lovely ambience and homely feel to the pub which comes from the building itself, the people and also the staff. Recommended."
