"I really like this school. 2021-2022 I was in y6 and it was fun. I am sad to be leaving it with all my memories (since reception. Thank you Mr Bottle) to secondary school."

"Similar to Peter Roberts, I was there from 1952 to 1954, though my memories are scant! I do remember there was a pair of pet rabbits that were kept in a cage in the playground that the older students looked after. Surprised to see the building still there after all these years."

"Hated it - if you want your kid to be well balanced later on in life, I would absolutely avoid this school. Very good at putting all their energy into naturally smart kids and degrading & ignoring the others. Looking back, I’m shocked at what they were able to get away with when I was there. Not sure if she’s still there - but Mrs Cheema was a terrible teacher and made my life hell."

"I attended Welldon Park from 1946 to 1952 Our form teacher during the last year was a Mr Willoughby. My abiding memory was when Mr W got two of us, Tony Morse and myself, out in front of the class. He pointed to me and said ‘this is an example of a weak person’. He pointed to Tony and said ‘this is an example of a strong person’ (I was skinny and Tony was muscular). That episode affected my self confidence for years afterwards! Looking back, at the age of 77 years, it probably made me stronger! I gained honours and Masters degrees as a Chartered Engineer, working in Nuclear Power stations. However I’m sure the current teaching staff are well trained and sensitive to the pupils needs and development."
