"Lovely walk through the woods by Mary Erskine School and past the golf course. Do not be put-off by any PRIVATE road nonsense, you're free to walk paths and roads and this right is enshrined in a Scottish 2003 law! Enjoy the beautiful view over the hills and city on a bench."

"Lovely big reserve, perfect for picnics and dog walks (one big loop). Loads of beautiful deer and wildlife as well, has good views on a clear day and has rocks to climb up amongst the forest"

"Great place for a walk. One of the better places to surround yourself with nature. It gets steep in some places so can be a good workout but nothing too bad. And the paths are not paved well, so proper footwear recommended. Also, you walk past the very corner of Edinburgh Zoo so you can actually peak at zebras (though they are quite far away)."

"Nice walk u can see hidden Scott monument on top of the hill and walk on the back of the zoo, if u lucky u can zebras. u can see the golf course and the entire city view"
