Destiny Scotland - St Andrew Square Apartments

"We stayed at one of the St. Andrews square apartments. It was wonderful and I will 100% stay there again and recommend anyone else do the same. It was close, safe and spacious! We had the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and we were really impressed. There are 30 steps up to the first floor like it says so be prepared for that but the lift is there for all other floors. I didn’t want to leave. It is quite for the city location. There are restaurants close by on the square too. Tiles, The Ivy, McDonalds and KFC."

"We had a good stay here for four nights. The location is fab for arriving or departing by train at Waverly Edinburgh and for exploring the city, and most tourist sites are within walking distance. The apartment is well appointed, and comes with a microwave, an oven, hob and even a dishwasher, which we did not use. It had a washer dryer combo which we did not even realise existed as it was tucked behind a small sofa. There are a mixture of cutlery and plateware, which is useful if you decide to dine in. Groceries are easy to obtain at the nearby M&S Foodhall or Sainsbury Locals. If you want a quick meal, Macs and KFC are located just next door. There are large windows that let in lots of light, which is welcome in the darker months. The heating is preset. The bed was comfortable, but a little small for this couple. Incidentally, our apartment was on the second floor. Staff are super quick to respond to any queries. Check in was a breeze with pre-arranged door codes. They do take a 200 pound deposit, but that helps to ensure guests return the apartment in the state as received, which we try to ensure anyway whereever we stay As others have mentioned, there are around 30 steps to climb before you get to the lift. Lugging large suitcases up and down those stairs can be a challenge."

"Very nicely renovated and large apartment with high ceilings in the heart of Glasgow. Small but well equipped kitchen, no washing machine. Comfortable and large bed. Spotlessly clean and a short walk to everything in both Old and New town. 2 minute walk to Airport Express bus and the train station so transport connections are perfect. Very responsive and friendly. Keyless entry which is very convenient. Due to the design of the building the lift only goes down to the first floor, so about 30 steps up to it but that wasn't an issue for us at all. Perfect, highly recommended."

"Destiny has a formula of modern/pop of colour/convenient/historic - and it works perfectly. Had a terrific stay in #6, absolutely everything we needed. Note: while having luggage storage in their office a few blocks away is convenient, there's zero security or process, so we returned to find our bags separated, with half on the other side of the storage area after we'd tucked them out of the way of all other bags. Anyone in that storage area had full access to everyone's bags."

"My husband and I had a lovely long weekend stay in Edinburgh at 9 South St Andrews Street. The room was clean and modern, easy to access, quiet (there was some shouting on the street below on Saturday night but we couldn't hear this from the bed) and in a fantastic location. It's very easy to access from the train station and right in the centre of town, walking distance to all the sights. We had everything we needed. We would highly recommend."
