"I get the impression that if the cafe wasn't so busy I would have enjoyed it more. First time there and I don't think I'll come back. Very friendly staff, but the service was slow. It's a tiny place and a tiny kitchen, but they were taking on Just Eat orders too, so I think this was just too much for the kitchen that size. I had to wait until my order for food was being taken before ordering a drink. There are lots of dishes with poached eggs on the menu, but I soon realised the pinging noise from the kitchen was eggs being microwaved. My poached egg was hard in the middle and "snotty on top". Both my wife and I had to leave them to the side. It's a place with great potential, but I feel they need to iron out a few things and are taking too much on or they need to deal better with busy times."

"Purchased a afternoon tea as a gift the new owners had just taken over had to return twice before I got the voucher they were supposed to phone me when it was ready however they never. Anyway when I ordered it I asked if coffee could be served instead of coffee and the young girl said this was fine however when my sister and hubby arrived the afternoon tea was already on the table so they ordered coffee,s once they had eaten the sandwiches the waitress then asked if they would like their tea now who wants tea after having coffee,s they then charged them for the coffee s did not even have the decently to deduct the cost if the tea certainly will not be back"

"Best eggs benedict bar none. Also tasted the special NY pastrami sandwich which was pretty epic. Great, friendly service too. As good as scran (which is the best praise it gets for me.) Cakes top notch as well."

"First time I've been since the new management have taken over. Brand new monochrome look and slightly more tables than before. Looked at menu outside and had planned on healthy chicken salad sandwich on brown seeded bread, and that is what I ordered but the cakes were to die for. After perusing the cabinet I chose the Banoffi Bun. The banana was subtle and I could taste cinnamon but it was absolutely covered in toffee sauce. It looked divine and I had a quick walk to the park and just dived in. I could not wait any longer to eat it. It was absolutely gorgeous. I waited until I got home to eat the sandwich, and it was really tasty. Will try the actual restaurant sometime soon."

"A delightful coffee shop in my local area! Had a lovely pit stop for coffee & cake to go & I will say the coffee was the best I've had in a long time & the cake was delish. I have definitely found the provider for my future coffee fix."
