Jenny Wren Canal Cruises

"Incredibly rude, unfriendly staff, keen to make a misery for anyone else using the canal. I hired a boat with my friends on a lovely sunny day and ended up getting screamed at by the female Jenny Wren crew member for not going fast enough despite the fact our hire boat was going at full speed. When we said we couldn’t go any faster she carried on shouting aggressively and barged us out of the way onto the wrong side of the river. Incredibly aggressive and threatening behaviour. As a passenger I suggest only going for a ride if you are comfortable listening to the crew shouting rudely at others throughout the duration of the trip. Clearly from other reviews I am not the only one to have this experience. Will absolutely avoid this tour for my next boat trip!"

"very unfriendly crew with a foul attitude towards anyone else using the canal, sadly making camden an incredibly hostile place to cruise through. in my case, but i’ve heard many similar, inviting unnecessary conflict and making very rude remarks about how long it took me to go down the lock, despite doing so as efficiently as possible as a solo boater while she just stood there watching. i am physically much less able due to ME/CFS and absolutely do not need to hear condescension about the rate at which i can do locks (which wasn't even slow anyway), particularly when it made no difference to their tour boats who have their own separate lock. even if it did, the canals are not for rushing, and their business is not everyone else’s problem."

"Absolutely horrified. I and many others witnessed the Jenny Wren dangerously harass and almost sink two young kayakers in Little Venice on Saturday. It was shocking and very distressing. The kayak moved into the side for the Jenny Wren to pass; the Jenny Wren’s captain started to aggressively shout at the kayakers. The captain then pulled his much larger boat up beside the kayak to crush it and revved his engine to fill their kayak with water. The man and woman on the Jenny Wren should be banned from the canal for dangerous driving. Appalling…. There is no excuse for their behaviour."

"Just witnessed the driver making rude comments and deliberately spraying 2 innocent kayakers with water (partially filling their boat, dangerous conduct) - the Jenny Wren crew was in the wrong. This seems to echo other reviews. A woman who appeared to be involved in the organisation then made further rude and false comments. Very unnecessary. Wouldn't recommend rewarding that type of behaviour with your money."

"Delightful little tourist attraction, very nice and knowledgeable staff tour. If you are tall like me, then the seating is a little tight otherwise just great!"
