"AVOID - Booked a Villa on Meganisi just under 2 years in advance for a friends wedding. Had a change of plans and requested to cancel with just over 1 year left. Wouldn’t refund our (£700) deposit. Nick (Manager) came back with the usual unhelpful “sorry - check our T&C’s” reply. Yeah yeah………..fair enough - arse covered - But there is always a bit of empathy and situational logic that can be used to override if required. If it was last min with no prospect of rebooking I would be understanding. But over 1 year in advance - come on! 100% certain it would have been rebooked and he would have made a nice £700 extra. Not even a helpful prospect offered as pacification e.g. - “if we can rebook the villa we will refund deposit” - instead - just flat out greed. I understand it might be trickier in some large travel agent businesses. But this is a small family owned business that can make these call relatively quickly and we were hopeful for an element of care and understanding that goes with it. Obviously not!"
