"NEVER AGAIN! Went in after a long day at work. Thought I’d treat myself. Nope! The women over the counter was miserable, no smile no thank you. I asked for Large chips and Gravy and I sore her go in the back mixing ‘ALDI’ gravy granules! I never in my life, been to a chippy that doesn’t have gravy/ curry container. Also after seeing this I asked if they could do it separate because I already payed I didn’t want to be difficult and say “hold the gravy” I don’t want to embarrass them. They then say that will be £6 I already payed £4.80. So it’s an extra £1.20 for my gravy to be put into a tub? No! To top it off the guy behind said “it cost money for us provide the tubs, it all adds up.” Not only did he talk down to me he also contradicted himself. After I said i didn’t want it anymore he says “oh just give it her it doesn’t matter or change anything” I have a business of my own and I know that you need to be consistent on your policies and procedures. So you either follow them or you don’t. Chips were cold and i cloud of batter in them, half my chips were crunchy. Never again."

"Ordered the ‘meal deal’ for two on Deliveroo tonight. Meatball marinara sub, chicken avocado sub, two portions of skinny fries, two dips and two cans of drink. All for £20. Pictures on Deliveroo looked pretty good. Appalled at what we got when we opened the bag. Where to start…. Cold food, luke warm drinks. Horrible stale bread, barely any filling, tiny portions of stale and floppy fries, and the dips looked like wallpaper paste, didn’t even try them. Cannot believe how poor this is. We looked up the place to find out what the hell was going on with this place and saw the rating, amazed it’s as high as 3*. Then looked at the menu and realised we simply paid for individual items, the sum total of why we paid was no deal or discount whatsoever. Lying about prices on Deliveroo to scrape some extra pennies. Absolute scam."

"Easily the worst chippy in the area. I got a King Rib supper recently and it was without a doubt the worst food I have ever eaten from any chippy anywhere in the UK. The chips were reheats, the King Rib itself was utterly disgusting, in fact the quality was so bad even the dog wouldn't eat it. The fritters on the hand were actually very nice, so they get one star for that. There are better options nearby, don't waste your money here."

"I've been here twice in the past few weeks. Visit 1 was amazing. Great tasting chips etc and excellent customer service. 2nd visit wasn't so good. Chips tasted horrible and the person serving had an attitude of "leave me alone, leave the shop". Its like a dog doing number 2 would be an improvement in that person's day... won't be back for a looong time..."
