"I booked a fab deal with Ahoy and then read reviews and was horrified. We just returned from the cruise and it was fab. The hotels booked before and after were clean and of a good standard. There were no transfers included, which I had presumed initially as we had them on trips with other companies. However, it did say this on the paperwork. I didn't check carefully enough, though I felt that this should have been mentioned. They offered to organise them at extra cost, but we just got taxis which worked out well from the airport but was a nightmare off the ship. This was probably why the offer was cheaper than their competitors. We had to pay extra for local flights which were not offered initially, though I specifically asked. I was told to wait to book them six months before the date for a cheaper deal, but I have normally been able to decide on flight at time of booking. Not a massive issue but I wouldn't do that again. There was one big problem when I discovered that we had been booked into different cabins for each part of the back to back cruises. We were not explicitly told. However, when I contacted Ahoy they negotiated a $100 per cabin credit with the cruise line. They also booked a late departure for us at the final hotel without being asked, but we didn't find out till we got there. That was a bonus. Overall, I would say that communication was an issue, but the bargain price we paid was worth it. However, they have stinging cancellation charges so I would check carefully before you pay your deposit."

"Fantastic company to deal with, from my initial enquiry phone call to actually going on holiday, nothing has been too much trouble for the staff, all emails answered efficiently, phone calls returned promptly, the information provided has been accurate, Nick in particular is very knowledgeable and guided me through what was best for my requirements (very helpful guy) and to top all of that, they have provided a fantastic holiday which has been extremely good value for money. I highly recommend this travel agent."

"They win business by appearing to offer good prices but then offer poor flight and hotel options, meaning that you have to upgrade at much higher cost. Avoid. Further post - in response to "the owner's" post below - I will be pleasantly surprised if you do investigate this. I have now booked with you twice and have - so far - been disappointed both times. I feel somewhat foolish to have been taken in twice."
