"Despite the many negative reviews about this Gp practice, I must say I have had a better experience for myself and my baby. I recently just registered with the surgery, and I tried to get an appointment for my baby, i called at 8am, and there was a very long queue but eventually I got through, and all the slots for the day had gone, however the receptionist was very helpful in referring me to the out of ours clinic, and I was able to be seen by a doctor that same day in the evening. I have further booked subsequent appointments and have been seen By a doctor who by the way was lovely, professional and friendly. So overall my experience in this practice has been pleasant thus far."

"I called this morning to book an appointment as I have been trying to get one from yesterday. By the time my call was answered all appointments gone for the day- obviously this is not new. However, the staff member that answered my call was rude, unprofessional, aggressive on the phone and no listening ear at the least. She did not let me talk but interrupted me and raise her voice on the phone like we are fighting. I have to say to her can I talk and listen to me, just to ask her a simple question, this lady didn't rather she hung the phone, waiting on the phone for 24mins and 44 secs for what, to be spoken to in an aggressive manner and hung up. I could not believe it. Then I rang the practise again and another staff answered the call and mentioned to her what happened a few minutes ago. She asked and the staff that hanged up on me said I did not let her talk which was other way round. I told this other staff I have to tell to listen but she was just repeating I should come down or phone again tomorrow but not ready to even listen to my question about the fit note and before I know it she hung up the phone. Obviously, with this other staff you can see the difference of their professionalism and approach. She answered my question about the fit note and even offered an alternate to book me for the physio but said they have long queue. What so baffled me is that they have a policy of zero tolerance towards staff and saying any one that is rude or aggressive toward staff will be removed from their practise. What about rude and aggressive staff toward their customers- get away with murder I guess. The management of this practise need to send some of their staff on a professional course/training in dealing with customers and have a good mannerism. If you have a bad day at work due to pressure/workload, don't take it upon customers. You are at work to carry out your duties in a professional way. Learn about good communication skills- listening attentively without interruption, have listening ears, and offer support or alternative rather than being aggressive like your patients did you wrong. Better still, take time off work if you can't do your work properly and professionally. Then I went there and saw Marilyn the most helpful and supportive staff in this practice. She asked to fill the fit note and give it to her and she will text me when to come and collect it as well she puts through my request for a particular medication- thank you To the management, you need to sort some of your staff out and they need to deal with customers in a professional manners"

"Worst service ever... reception desk workers are very much rude... never received the phones. Last three months I'm trying to call them. But they never pick up the phone. My wife visited them to make an appointment, they told her you have to make appointment by phone. They behaved very rude to her and told her to go to barking hospital. We are really really upset of their behaviour and attitude."

"I am so upset to have to write this review, as I have been with this surgery for over 15 years, I know the receptionists, Nurses and Drs personally, but since it has changed company names from Thames-view Medical Centre to Aurora Medcare, the difference is night and day and not in a good way. I know COVID has changed a lot of things for the medical industry with back logs and strapped for cash, but to have a Dr surgery that you cannot get through to is lowest of the low, I read through most of the other reviews and it’s so sad that it has got to this point, its broken. When you have a phone line for emergency appointments only and it cuts off once you are put into a queue is unacceptable to say the least... They are basically saying they are not open to their patients go elsewhere, I have had 2 emergencies in 6 months, both times I have had to go to a walk-in centre, because A&E services are broken also, from the over spill of not being able to see a GP. I only use my GP now for repeat prescriptions’ online.. I will be looking for a new GP like many others sad to say."
