"Luke was recommended to us by former football team mates of our 15yr old son after he sustained an injury in training. Luke recommended we take Finn for scans after which he quickly identified an ACL injury. After a visit to a sports surgeon a plan was drawn up for Finn to work with Luke pre-op and then post-op. The post-op work started after the surgery in Jan 2022 and Luke worked closely with the sports surgeon to ensure that Finn’s recovery was steady, at the correct pace & had the maximum outcome (with the minimum impact), building the work up as and when the surgeon discussed would be appropriate. Luke worked with Finn weekly initially, moving to biweekly and eventually monthly as he neared the end of his recovery period. He was always thorough, honest (he would challenge Finn when he could see that enough recovery work between sessions hadn’t been achieved) and would inform us exactly what was being done, what the aims of the session would be, a plan would be discussed for what the work was for Finn to be focussing on between sessions. He got Finn working with a personal trainer Jake - who worked closely with Luke’s programme to ensure maximum success for Finn’s fitness and recovery. Luke’s knowledge and input was imperative in Finn’s recovery and ultimate confidence to return to playing football - the first time of which was an emotional time for all concerned. As a family we can’t thank Luke enough for keeping us informed & encouraging Finn to have faith in the process and ultimately his recovering limb, and ensuring he was able to return to playing the sport he loved with confidence and having extra knowledge about what his body needed to be at its optimum performance level. We would highly recommend Luke to anyone in need of his help & expertise."
