"I moved in around the corner nearly a month ago. This seemed like a good option as my local "go to" shop for groceries. I've been in twice and both times had staff be weird, cold or look me up and down in a very unfriendly way. One of those times, a staff member treated me like I was in the way when I was looking at wines and he suddenly appeared wanting to move something where I was standing - he didn't say "excuse me" or "sorry can I just grab this" - he almost nudged me out the way. It's strange because normally I go into shops and don't think twice about the staff working there - but both times the staff have left a really bad impression at this place. I use the butchers a few doors up but walk much further now for main groceries. When I came on to write this review, I wasn't surprised to see others have written similar ones."

"I used to have a 5* review, but I feel I must downgrade it a bit… The product is excellent as always. A variety of competitively priced items as well as more gourmet or pricey options. Service has always been courteous and friendly enough. However, providing the option of a till receipt should be the default. It is the only place where I shop that doesn’t offer their customers a receipt. Additionally, a lot of items are not marked or the price isn’t correct, or offers aren’t updated at the till. Very often my shopping comes up £3 or £4 higher than expected, and without the receipt it’s almost impossible to know why on the spot or challenge it without making a scene. As a result, I usually only buy a few essentials for which I know what the price will be."
