"Brings together the best of Bermondsey, and beyond. Bermondsey is a wondrous hub of artisanal food makers and Giddy Grocer stocks many of them in one place. For examples, Bermondsey Bees honey, The Butcher meat cuts, Neal's Yard cheese and Palace Culture vegan 'cheese' (the best I have ever had, and I eat dairy cheese!) Added to this is a wonderful range of other artisan and lesser known brand foods. Stars like UK grown heritage beans from Hodmedods & proper long-simmered bone broth from Spring. These delights are together with a small but well stocked fresh produce section, fresh baked goods, what is probably a great wines selection, organic chilled dairy, sauerkraut and kimchi. . . . and the people! They are friendly, they greet you, pretty soon by name, and they appear to love the food, know the food, and be interested to chat. This *is* your friendly local fine food store and if you live nearby, treasure & cherish it. South of the river we do not have Wholefoods & Planet Organic, but we have this, and it is better! :-)"

"Pretty little shop, with nothing that you can't at Borough Market at better prices. And the few items that I buy are always out of stock. Also very BAD customer service. Sam the manager is always on his phone, and doesn't care to service the customers properly or mindful of the business. He is slow and borderline rude. You feel like he is doing you a favorite. The quality, lack of response time, or overall customer experience is horrible. Sadly, local shops like The Giddy Grocer will fade away if they fail to meet the minimum currently customer expectation. I like to support local shops, but sadly I no longer shop at the Giddy Grocer due to this lack of care. ADVICE: 1. Train you staff or dismiss them - you keep making excuses, NOT acceptable 2. Get your ordering system on track 3. Buy better quality produce and keep them fresh, if you expect to sell them at a higher price point 4. Consider having more organic items or special product that aren't easily found elsewhere so close by - this will help differentiate your shop and make it more special. Current, the only thing that's special is the look and feel."
