Tesco Express

"I recently had a very disappointing experience at this Tesco Express location. I visited the store on 9 of February 2023, at approximately 7:35 p.m. to purchase a Heineken beer using a gift card that had a balance of £5.60. However, when I tried to pay using the self-service checkout, I was prompted to pay an additional £1 that I did not have in the form of a credit card. I asked an employee named Joaquim for assistance, but instead of helping me, he was extremely rude and unprofessional. He removed my item from the self-service checkout without my permission and sent me to the regular checkout. When I asked him about the amount that was debited from my gift card, he responded with obscene words and a negative attitude. This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning to this Tesco location in the future. I hope that management takes disciplinary action against Joaquim and trains their employees to provide better customer service."

"It's ok. The size and location means they mostly sell lunches, drinks, and snacks. There are plenty basics though."

"Unfortunatelly there is no option for 0 star rating so I have to give 1 star. I went to Tesco Goodge Street branch to drop 2 small Evri parcels. There was an old white lady in front of me and there were 2 cashiers. One of them was tall white gentlemen and the other was African looking lady called Janet. She asked the old lady if she can help her but instead old lady went to tall gentlemen’s counter. I was expecting the cashier called Janet will serve me but instead she turn her back and had a drink. Check her mobile and had a fanny attitude in her face. Then put gloves in her hand and waited for a long while. Then she made a funny sign to me like come to this side. She clearly was not want to serve me for some reason. I do not know if my Asian looking appearance make her behave like this. Which will be discussing racist behavior in any account. Or she was not the right person for the job. Or she was thinking she is some sort of special person rather than being a shop cashier. In any case it was very bad and disturbing experience. From now onwards I will try not to go to Tesco. I think management needs to address to issues to their staff and re train staff like Janet."

"this is by far the most comprehensive TESCO store in central London. you will certainly get all your shopping in this supermarket."

"This isn't my local branch but I was in the area and stopped by to get a light lunch. Small to medium size branch. Well laid out. Fine for basics. There were loads of self service tills but most were closed off! Thankfully not too busy so it was fine."
