"This place claim to open at 7am every morning. Not happening at all. Maybe by 7:30 they will be able to open to clients, with almost half of the shelves still empty. On a Sunday, forget it!"

"In English summertime cookies and confections are the delight of everyone. 'Twas 26 August 2021 and upon receiving my exam results I was elated. I decided to celebrate by indulging myself into one of Sainsbury's classics - The White Chocolate Cookie. It has been 7 years since I devoured into what I can only describe as the most vivid glimpse into paradise. I sensed a great deal of nostalgia upon purchasing a packet of White Chocolate Cookies x 5. I recalled the days when it costed only 65p but it has now reached £1.00. Fear not, inflation proved no obstacle to my desire for culinary pleasures. Upon hearing the checkout machine making the utterance of "Would you like a receipt?", I did not even bother responding to the machine as I usually would as I could not even resist the urge to tuck into a White Chocolate cookie straightaway. On the first bite, my body was immediately fuelled with disappointment and rage. Stale, bland and miserable. The Cookie had so little moisture that Sainsbury's might as well have extracted sand from the Sahara, repackaged it and labelled it "White Chocolate Cookies". What happened to the beautiful buttery texture the Cookie once had? What happened to that state of euphoria when one bites into that crispy outer layer of the Cookie and then reaching into its soft melting centre? I observed my half bitten Cookie. An air of melancholy surrounded me. As I observed even more closely and astutely, I realised the shape of the Cookie has significantly decreased. The diameter and thickness of the Cookie I bought in 2014 was far greater than that somber looking object lying on my palm. I glanced at the "Taste the Difference" cookies displayed on the shelves of the Sainsbury's shop. It was highly noticeable that those cookies were much bigger, yet also more expensive. What happened to consumer fairness? What happened to product quality? Is Sainsbury's willing to reduce cost of sales and its overheads, or other nugatory expenses to the detriment of its longstanding customers? To those sniggering at my diatribe at some trivial supermarket product, I say to you. This is serious. This represents a wider societal problem. We as consumers deserve decent quality produce, no matter the cost. We deserve that trip down memory lane by devouring into that snack we haven’t had for decades. Anyway, 1/5. Not recommended."
"Unfortunately agree with some of the reviews on here. Extremely passive aggressive Asian male manager in this store. Quite clearly very unhappy in his job and shows this with very little respect for customers. Unfortunate as usually used to very good service and professionalism from Sainsbury’s staff and in particular their management. Like other locals have been driven away from shopping here to better alternatives."
