"It was really nice. Old fashioned in a way. Lots of dark wood everywhere. It suited the ambiance with Christmas approaching and tree and decorations were lovely Free parking because we booked direct. Situated just outside the clean air zone so ok to drive there if your car is noncompliance."
"Room was clean and surprisingly full of character, nice surprise upgrade to a suite as well. Fairly priced bar with decent drinks, breakfast was average with poor vegan and veggie options."
"Looks lovely from the road and downstairs is nice although quite dark and dated. We found the room to be quite tired and really average to be honest. I would not have thought it was part of the Great Western group as it really needs work doing on it and I didn't think they had enough staff, really slow service for cream tea."
"Great location. But no lift in the hotel. Had to carry heavy bags two floors up. The receptionist helped carry but it was a bit too much even for her. The layout is strange and spooky. You have to walk through a maze to get to the room. Service was quick. Breakfast was below average."
"Lovely hotel, Its old but stylish . Really lovely bar area.Good location, Hotel is about 10 to 15 min straight walk to Broad street. All staff are so Lovely,helpful and friendly, couldnt do enough for us. The only negative was there is no lift."
