"After reading all the reviews and the responses from the garage I was fairly but cautiously optimistic about this garage and their customer service and thought of giving them a try. I called for a quote one morning for a cambelt replacement and the man on the phone said he's got 'loads of quotes to work on' and will get back to me after taking details of my car. No response on the day. I called back the second day to check, and got the same answer, waited till the end of day and finally decided to move on. Friendly note to the owner - advise the staff to politely decline if you've got more than enough work so that people don't unnecessarily to wait on you."

"Daughters brand new Audi was hit by a 3rd party & their insurance said it had to go to Peter James - I now know it could have gone to a garage of my choice! So I read the reviews & wasn’t really happy. But, I thought I’d give it a go. Mistake number one. Originally told car would be three days ended up being about four weeks. Could never get through on the phone. rare occasion I did receptionist was rude, was told five different reasons from parts being on backorder to paint supplies to whatever. I complained there was no communication and was rudely informed it’s not their job to update customers it’s down to my insurance company even though it wasn’t my insurance company who was dealing with it and they couldn’t get Peter James to answer the phone either! literally no communication whatsoever from anyone , Eventually got the car back and within seconds I noticed at least four defects - overspray on the inside of the door on the plastic trim panel & speaker cover.(was told it would wipe off) Front wing completely out of line even though I was assured this was never removed during the repair. Rear door that wasn’t damaged had primer on the edges, told the driver to take it back immediately was told the car would be back within 24 hours rectified, another five days later car came back again completely unhappy with it - paint runs on the door that wasn’t even damaged, crusty paint around the front bumper from overspray, crusty paint around rear door handle from overspray, just an all-round terrible job really. So unhappy I wont even give them a second chance to rectify it instead I’m having it priced up at Balgores to have it done properly and recharging it onto saga insurance company - as a comparison my son‘s brand-new Mercedes AMG was hit in a car park days later and that went to Balgores and I cannot find a single fault with their work they couldn’t even get the pearlescent paint from Mercedes so made up themselves. and it’s a perfect match! these two companies are like chalk and cheese - i’m not even interested in Peter James reply that’s basically going to try and poo poo this post at the end of the day they know I’m unhappy with the job they did they offered to rectify it but I would never ever put another car in there again I’d rather pay out of my own money to get my daughters Audi rectified properly!"

"I took my car in this morning for an MOT I honestly cannot thank the guys at Peter James group enough. I literally cannot fault their service. Dave at the front desk was chatty, polite and happy and we had some great conversations whilst I was waiting for my car. As for Mark I literally have no words for my gratitude towards him. He literally went above and beyond to help me as did all of the other guys working there. I will never ever take my car to other garage from now on. Thank you thank you thank you again!!!"

"Had MOT done today (Tuesday) on car, did not pass, but garage fitted me in for brakes to be fitted on (Thursday). Dave on the front counter was very helpful, polite and cheerful. Price was very good and I will definately recommend to anyone who wants a professional garage."

"Just collected our vehicle from Peter James, following damage to both off side doors. We also had the door handles resprayed .The car looks like new you would never believe there had been any damage. Excellent job, friendly helpful staff and work very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend their service. Thank you to the team."
