"Wish 0 stars was an option. Absolutely horrendous experience with this company. Started a policy on 12/11 but cancelled on 14/11 due to not purchasing the vehicle. I was assured this had been done. Fast forward to 12/12 and they took out the first installment from my bank account! I called a second time and spoke to the same person, David, who assured me this was his mistake and he would get it corrected and backdate the cancellation so my installment would be refunded. This, I was understanding of, it was a mistake but he was going to correct it. However, come the 12/01 i still jadnt received a refund and they took a second installment from my account!! They also had the nerve to take £25 out of my account for not signing my credit agreement! The agreement which was cancelled in November! I rang AGAIN, and was told they could only refund the first installment due to them not having the credit back from the credit company (premium credit) for the second payment. I don't see how this was my problem. At this point it should've all been refunded and sorted between the two companies due to it being their mistake, not mine. After 7 calls to this company I was fobbed off time and time again with lies and false promises to get me off the phone. David, Nicola, and Vicky all had no problems pretending to help me. I was most recently assured the money taken wrongly would be in my account by 23/01 latest. I rang on this day to be told it would be 24/01 LATEST. Here I am on 25/01 still out of pocket of OVER £200 and being told "oh we don't know how long it takes for money to go back into an account" by the same person who gave me a date to expect to receive it!! I have also asked many times for emails to be sent confirming what we'd spoken about or calls back and have received NOTHING. I am absolutely appalled and horrified that this company is allowed to operate. WORKS ALONGSIDE PREMIUM CREDIT WHO ARE THE EXACT SAME, FALSE PROMISES AND NO MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT. ALL BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE THEIR EMPLOYEE MADE. Stay clear of this company unless you have never ending patience and enjoy your money being taken unlawfully."

"AVOID!!!! My insurance auto renewed and I cancelled it a couple of weeks later. I then got hit with over £200 of charges on a policy that was only £500 for 12 months. Despite my new policy also being with them. Their cancellation fees are not explained clearly, I am now paying way more than if I had just left my overpriced auto renewal running. Their customer service is awful. I spoke to Danielle via WhatsApp and her attitude was disgusting. Can’t wait to get rid of them. My company were going to insure the whole fleet with them but not now. AVOID!!!"

"ONE STAR TOO MANY! Wish I would've read the reviews before insuring my car. It was the cheapest quote and it hasn't been worth it by far. It's only been a month: I've had 3 weeks of policy cancelation threats due to the tracker device not being compatible with the car. This is despite emails and calls at the end of the first week explaining the situation. 3 weeks on I have not received the replacement device, calls on why I haven't returned the original device when no prepaid envelope has been provided, even a text message saying the new device has been delivered when it hasn't. Freedom is happy to blame Royal Mail and the fact their policy cancelation correspondence is automated. Every call has been between 10-60 minutes as the Tracker department do not like answering the calls (as well as the emails which I'm still waiting for a read receipt from). This insurance provider is so bad, it bakes the question on how it exists! I've raised a complaint and been told I will get a call 3-5 working days, not holding my breath. If you are looking for car insurance, take my advice and look elsewhere, even if it means paying a bit more. Trust me when I say, it will be worth it. Nothing but stress and time consuming with this provider!"

"Just been on the phone with this company. The person onthe phone had a horrible phone manner and sounded like he really didn't want to be there at all. Cut me off mid sentence and stuck me on hold. Refused to tell me why he wanted to put me on hold in the first place and basically just wasted my time this morning. Not a very good start to a policy with this company. I was calling to sort out a mistake on the policy and had been told that an increase of over £80 was implemented for the mistake yet when I go on to the site and get a quote again it shows an increase of £14. With the £70 cancellation fee it works out cheaper to cancel my current insurance with them and then open a new policy with the same features with them. It makes absolutely no sense at all. It would be much cheaper to pay them a cancellation fee and go with another broker all together by about £60 so do not understand what they are doing. They would rather give me back my full premium that I paid upfront, keep £70 and let me go elsewhere as opposed to keeping my money and increasing the policy legitimately. How does this make sense? They would rather just grab £70 and give me £555 back? How is this even good business sense? I can accept a quote today for less than this (with them) and would save at least £60 by going elsewhere, I genuinely do not understand why they would want to push customers away like that."

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS I had a policy with this fraudulent company. I received a call 4 weeks before my policy renewal date saying my premium has increased by an additional £285. When i questioned this they said there is a claim against my policy. This was and still is completely new information to me. I asked about this so called claim and they said i need to speak to the claims department. Good luck with that.. for 4 weeks and going i have tried calling their underwriters being Pukka services, they said Action365 deal with claims, i have emailed numerous times, been on hold on at least 8 occasions averaging 2 hours with no luck. I contacted their complaints department on 6 occasions only to be told " we'll escalate it to management " no time frame given for a respose. I can not get hold of the claims department at all and have no idea what this claim is about nor was any correspondence sent to me about this in order to dispute any matter. I have now contacted the Financial ombudsman authority who have looked at my stance on this and have kindly taken on this claim. This is ongoing and will keep you updated. AVOID AVOID AVOID."
