Reviews
"I would love to be able to give this place a try and provide an honest review, but they never appear to be open every time I walk by or scouting for a place to drink at, despite the place having it's hours listed as open. The one time I saw activity inside, and staff smoking in the open door, I was told to leave, quite bluntly and rudely, as they weren't opening. If it weren't for reviews and comments of others, I'd assume this place to no longer open for the public."
"Moved around the corner a couple of years back, still been unable to go as they don't appear to be open at the times they've listed... Visited today at 22:15, and it was closed. Supposed to be open until 23:00. Keeping your punters updated would be great, but with no website, nobody answering the phone, and wrong hours, you make it nigh on impossible to become a local! Would love the chance to actually experience the (visually amazing) pub, but the inability to actually visit has meant I've had to go elsewhere. If you need somewhere that'll be reliably open when it says, I'd look elsewhere. Edit: I'd love the chance to visit and make this review 5*. I'm also happy to pop in and, absolutely free of charge, work to get an online presence where you can update little things like this. I know pubs are a dying breed, especially small independents that are pushing to keep going since COVID. If you'd like to take me up on this, just drop a reply here or post a review mentioning it and I'll be happy to pop by!"
"Great atmosphere in the place, 5 visitors one local (England) and the other four from Glasgow we were all made very welcome, loved this bar"
"An honest, traditional local pub. No fancy gimmicks just a great, local, family run pub that sadly seems to be disappearing from the community. The landlord is a true Bermondsey local, who supports his community. Go try a real London pub, see what you've been missing."
"Fantastic local pub.Spotlessly clean and excellent staff. Great pint, properly poured. Friendly locals. A dying breed but they are keeping it going. Loyal to England, the UK and Her Majesty, you won't find a better pub than this in all of London, never mind South London. Well worth a visit."
