"Great menu, lovely roast on a Sunday and it’s always a pleasure to have a drink by the fire in the bar area. Perfect pub all year round. Make a reservation or get there early on a Sunday though, it’s busy!"

"Nice food, but they are very stingy with the vegetables - half a carrot, half a parsnip, four Brussels Sprouts and five halves of roast potatoes which were lovely, but left me wanting more - I always think of a Sunday roast as more of a loaded plate kind of affair. The (very tender) pork loin came with a lovely strip of crackling - the potatoes were very crispy and were accompanied by a very large Yorkshire pudding. Great gravy on the top. My friend's beef was a little bit tougher, but still went down well. No lamb option. At about £20 a main dish, it isn't cheap - I've had better at this price level, but it was enjoyable; I could have done with a bit more on the plate, that's all."

"I have been to the Crown for casual evening drinks while sitting outside in their nice garden a couple of times but never been there for lunchtime or dinner. I finally had a chance to book a table (advisable because I tried to turn up in a couple of occasions and they were always full) and had a fantastic dining experience! Food was fresh, tasty and presented beautifully, with great staff and excellent beer and wine selection. I am looking forward to going back"
