"Loveliest pub in the area. The menus are of strangely high quality when the prices are as cheerful as they are and the dishes are mostly pub food--good pub food. I like to take friends there if they're in the area, and I look forward to seeing the dog patrons. Another thing that's strangely good is the music. Very, very good variety. You'll hear overlooked gems from every decade. I'm a little young and metro for the place's crowd, so it's not a 5-star place for me, but do pop in, nonetheless. (Dear management, Please leave the darts out more often)."

"Excellent local public house, and very friendly atmosphere, large selection of meals on the menu, also a traditional Sunday lunch, a good selection of ales and lagers, TV sport's channels for football ect, and a pub quiz to test your knowledge. I will definitely return again, Highly recommended."
