Reviews
"Slightly better than my last visit, however still a reduced options on what you can have in food."
"I ordered the Mushroom & Emmental Toastie along with a Large Hot Chocolate £8.30. Food & Drink very nice & friendly staff. There is seating inside but also plenty of seating outside the cafe too."
"Just had a latte, no food, but made really welcome by the gentleman in the kitchen area - very keen to talk about the cemetery. Some of the staff were confused by my cousin's request for "a coffee" so be prepared to ask for an americano or similar. Lovely seating outside, peaceful, and a pleasant way to round off a visit to the cemetery."
"On the plus side lovely surroundings, and you can sit in the garden which has a soothing fountain. Plenty of tables and chairs, and they offer lots of snacks, cakes and ice-cream, also older gentleman serving was very pleasant. On the minus side the toast came out looking like warmed up bread so asked for it to be toasted properly. Came back the same so sent it back again. The girl serving could do with learning some manners off the older guy, could see the annoyance on her face when I said it wasn't toasted, she was not a happy bunny. Anyway the toast came back, looked nicely toasted but when I started eating it realised one side was a nice toasty colour but the other side was burnt to a crisp. Gave up at that point and just ate the poached eggs which actually were quite nice. Think they need to invest in a new toaster. Breakfast buns a bit hit and miss too, some ok but one had a sausage so hard you could easily have defended yourself with it. Really I'd say avoid the cooked food and go for one of the prepared wraps or sandwiches or maybe the jacket spuds might be OK. Sorry to criticise as I know they run it for charity but even so that shouldn't preclude decently cooked food when people are paying for it."
"Gorgeous cafe with a beautiful garden and outside seating. All profits go towards the nhs and local charities. They have coffees, teas, cakes as well as all day breakfasts and lunches. Great value"
