"Lovely pub with well kept Hyde's ales, really well priced too, the best view in Chester they claim, I'm not going to argue with that but it wasn't the best viewing conditions when I visited, bit overcast and snowy! Certainly worth the short walk from Chester city centre."
"Popped in here a week ago with my dad, the pub location is 5 out of 5 all day, it is stunning outside the back looking over the river dee. Only issue was the staff seemed not motivated and when we went there, there seemed to be lots of youngsters in and out the toilets constantly."
"Review is based on my expectations so may be unfair in that I was expecting food and this pub doesn't serve any. The selection of drinks available isn't great, but...and it's a big but, it has some of the most spectacular views from the outside balcony. The guy behind the bar was also very friendly and helpful so can't fault that. If you're looking for a bottle of Bulmers to enjoy in the sun with beautiful views of the river, I would highly recommend. If you're looking for some delicious food and a wide variety of drinks then head elsewhere."
"When the sun is out this pub suddenly becomes my favourite place to take my friends to, enjoy a pint and watch the best views of the meadows, Handbridge and Hope hills. Good beer too. Just wait for a sunny day and check it out."
