"Nice Guinness but we were told no dogs allowed until after pint was poured. So we drank our pint outside in -2 weather. Staff rude, will never return. Also no food served at 2.15 pm"

"Lovely little pub which we called into by chance when passing. Been back in today lovely and warm with two fires. Nice coffee and looks like a large selection of beers and spirits. Large function room with lots of parking. Will return to try the food next time."

"I love this pub. Some might say it's outdated or old. Personally I think that's what give it its charm, it hasn't changed since I was a teenager. It's cozy with real fires. Not the electric rubbish. The food is awesome, the landlord is a character. I've seen reviews that say he is rude.utter rubbish He's a yorkshire man straight talking. We celebrated my birthday here, the food is amazing the deep fried black pudding is something I've never had, but will definitely be back for some more delicious. Reasonable prices home cooked food with quality ingredients."
