"The pub doesn't serve food, which is a shame but the kitchen facilities mean the landlady's high standards wouldn't allow it. Having said that, the supper served at the quiz night on a Tuesday, made at home, are superb. Every single member of staff are excellent, helpful and friendly with a great selection of beers and spirits available. It's just the perfect local, a friendly home from home."

"We ate here on Friday evening. It was a German menu which we enjoyed. Unusually it was very quiet which was good for us giving us a chance to chat with our host and chef. I'm not local but my friend who lives a stone's throw away will I'm sure be back."
