"There are different marketing strategies, but really they all reduce to two categories: good and bad. End of the day, customers are not aware of the closing time. The shop manager, to let you know they are closing, could say “Just to let you know, we are closing in 15 minutes, so no rush, but I wanted you to know it.” So we would have been very focused on our shopping without wasting time, since sales were on. Well, we have got the impolite version instead, with a very rude attitude, that never stopped even when we were paying quite a check-out. All of the attitude and behaviour was rude: tone of voice, choice of words, gesture (throwing a nicely folded t-shirts into the bag), and loud sights to his colleagues. So, my advice is to be more polite to customers of course, but also to relax. It took literally 10 minutes to try a t-shirt, a dress, a pair of trainers and pay for all the items. But in those 10 minutes, thanks to impoliteness of the shop manager, they lost two loyal customers."
