"Sorry to say that I was disappointed, not with the staff but with my steak! We visited on 22nd December having driven 4 hrs. I ordered the 8oz rump steak with trimmings and peppercorn sauce. On serving us 45 mins later my plate had a tepid steak and a serving of tepid chips. Not good for £16.70. On complaining the staff told me that they had no tomatoes or peppercorn sauce. They kindly removed my meal returning with hot food, good chips with mushrooms and beans. Not sure if we'll return. (I emailed re all this but but 2 weeks later have yet to receive a reply)."

"Decent pub with large out door space. Great for a stop off on a trip round sale water park. Kids play area. Food looks decent. If parking there remember to enter your reg into the machines at the bar to avoid an automated charge in the post. I missed it once, easily sorted but an annoyance"

"Fantastic location Free parking if using pub if not just £6 for 24 hours lovely walk next to pub along river Mersey very small bit not main bit. Very user friendly large beer garden, dog area, kids play area."
