"Could not give 0 stars! This place is shocking. Booked for Sunday lunch to meet family and we all travelled over an hour to get there. Website is very misleading with false photos and out of date menus. On arrival all bar tables were dirty, we ordered coffee which was dumped on the table by the most miserable member of staff. We were then told there was no Sunday lunch and we would have to eat bar food. The chef and receptionist tried to be helpful but we decided to leave elsewhere. The worst hotel I have ever visited."

"Visited The Chartwell Restaurant last Saturday evening with my family, had to try it out, have realised now that all the good reviews are from mainly a few years years ago, it seems obvious to us now that the management must have changed in reacent times, I must admit the food was adequate, on the same par with pub grub though we was expecting better, the main problem was with the staff not the chef, the communication was awful, especially the man with the suit on, he kept on repeating 'Thank you please' every time we spoke to him, that was non stop as well as every time our 7 year old granddaughter asked him a question, my main concern was at the end while paying the bill, while my card was in the reader, I was checking the bill and he went off with the card in the reader, he came back 30 seconds later and gave me the card back, I have had to cancel my card for security reasons which has caused me problems. We would never go back."
