"This is a very decent Halal Thai restaurant. The service is good and the staff are friendly. We went for lunch on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy. We were greeted with a smile and directed to our table. We ordered the Hors D'oeuvre and the Kenom Jeeb (Dumplings) for our starters. The spring rolls and fish cake were amazing! The satay and the chicken were 4 outta 5. For our mains we got the Sia Rong Hai Tiger Cry & the Prawn Green Curry with coconut rice. Both were pretty good! Overall, a very decent place, the seating is a bit cosy with your neighbours.. definitely worth going again!"

"Don't go to many places on their opening week due to my thinking it will be too busy and I hate waiting for a table. However Ive seen this place get refurbished for a few weeks and the inside deco just was eye catching, so thought I had to visit this place. Went on the 3rd day of opening and was full house but luckily we got a table straight away. Due to the business there was a wait to get the order In and for the food to come out but I must admit it was worth it. Firstly the deco of this place is one of the best I've seen, so unique and elegant, was told by the owner the wall deco was painted all by hand. Food wise now managed to try a large variety of the menu as there were 7 of us eating so tried a bit from everyone and overall would give it 4 out of 5 stars, high quality ingredients were used, flavourful however felt the presentation could have been more wow factor to match then deco, hence the 4 stars but overall for everything definitely 5 stars. Management was amazing also as they weren't serving a dessert menu during opening week but the owner went back and made us an exclusive dessert just for us as we were the last table. For Thai food in East London I would say this is the place to go."

"Black Lotus acheived to wow me and the mrs on every aspect it possibly could. To start with the mojito and dacquiri were possibly the best drinks we have ordered from a restaurant and so reasonably priced. For the starters the shrimps were perfect but the skewers were what suprised me the most as every time i get chicken skewers from anywhere else they tend to be dry and chewy or undercooked but this was neither ...really soft and moist. For the mains we ordered thai green curry and jungle curry .. both were on point! The green curry was really flavoursome and right amount of thickness to the point that i felt like i was back in thailand!! The jungle curry made the tastebuds dance as it should! We ordered the sticky rice and fragrant rice with this.... I ordered another rice after which was given to me straight away to ensure my curries didnt get cold. I really enjoyed the whole experience, perfect for a date night where you can sit in and just enjoy the ambience....."

"I was invited to a pre-opening taster session at this restaurant. The decor is done to a very high spec. A lot of attention to detail. The food was superb, probably because all the chefs are from Thailand. All the dishes I tried were authentic. As a well travelled individual I can say that the dishes tasted very much like Thailand. A much needed Thai Restaurant that lives up to its expectations. I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes. The staff are friendly and experienced. I have no doubt that this place will do well."
