"Lovely pub in Keston, Bromley. The location is perfect. Really earning a nice meal after a lovely walk. The staff was very lovely. They had a friendly homely vibe. They were also very accommodating to a large group. The food was a lot of variety to choose from. I had the large fish and chips and it was quite good. All the foods ordered looked legit yummy. The servings also looked quite generous. Will definitely be returning to sample the other dishes."

"Went for lunch here today with family and it was great. Food, drinks and friendly service, all superb. I especially liked that the veg with my pie were cooked beautifully (ie, not overcooked as is too often found in pubs). Top marks."

"Amazing food, and equally as important are the amazing staff! A huuuuuge thank you to Nick and Janet for hosting my group today. I cannot express how grateful I am for how accommodating you were to us! For context, I work as a Neurodiversity / Disability Support Tutor at a London university, and today marked the very first event in an extra-curricular / holistic support programme I have set up for students who have engaged with our services, a guided day hike. Only 2 students out of 10 were known to me before today, and they did not know each other either. This was a first visit to the countryside for several of them, a first visit to a pub for one attendee, and several also experience anxiety (both as a condition, and as a symptom of other conditions), so I phoned yesterday to explain the situation. Nick was so understanding, and both he and Janet were super-welcoming today, really going above and beyond to make my group feel comfortable and support my role as organiser. To witness the group visibly gaining confidence in front of me as a result genuinely makes my heart swell! The food was also EXCEPTIONAL. Very generous portions and a perfect opportunity for our international students to sample British pub classics. Despite nearly getting food envy at the sight of the perfectly cooked (and massive!) fish and chips, my home-made pie was equally delicious and great comfort food! The garden was also very well-kept (beautiful in the sunshine!) and equipped with lots of things to keep children entertained. Not only do I intend to return with other groups of students, this is also firmly on my list of places to bring my family when visiting me (including two young nephews who mean the world to me!). Thank you again for your significant contribution to making today such a success, I really, really appreciate it!"

"It is with regret to post my first review of food on a more negative note however I rarely feel the need to review my experience. I am severely disappointed in what meal I received yesterday during lunch. The photos speak for themselves.. a slightly warm burger with a huge slice of weak flavoured tomato, no presentation, no extras, a small portion of chips that were not cooked fully, literally a plate of food that felt it was microwaved from Tesco and all for a premium of £14.50. This is insane. INSANE! If you value your money and want to buy food that warrants the price tag I would highly recommend going elsewhere with your friends/family. I’m sorry but it is just not worth it - all these makeovers on our pubs yet the produce just doesn’t match up to it. For that price there should be bells whistles and a sparkler on the plate.. maybe a ceremonious cheers as it leaves the kitchen so the world knows you’re about to eat something indescribable but in fact of you wore a blindfold 10/10 people would guess it was maccy d’s a few miles south. Sorry guys, but that cost should leave a sense of gratification in one’s mouth, not disbelief on what they wasted their money on. Sunshine was nice though…"
