Tongdak (Korean Chicken)

"Small restaurant serving super tasty Korean fried chicken. They also have a couple of other side dishes but people come here for the chicken. You can have it in two ways, crispy with soy sauce for dipping or with the excellent slightly spicy Korean sauce. Both options are available on the bone or boneless. It's really tasty and excellently cooked. It's a small place, 4 tables inside and 2 outside. You might have to wait a bit because the chef does everything, taking orders, preparing food and serving to tables. This is part of the charm of this place. Everything is very clean and professionally managed. There are no toilets and no hand washing sink. They do have 3 types of beers on draft. We really enjoyed the fried chicken and also the side of shrimp dumplings. Highly recommended"

"Tiny place with limit seating. The guy told us it’s takeaway only, which I didn’t understand as people were sitting in. We ordered half portion of each spicy and soy garlic. Both were flavourful and juicy. We also ordered the ddukbokki. Flavour was good, but sauce was very watery and didn’t stick to the rice cakes. They wouldn’t give us tap water, even though they had glasses and served beer on tap and were supposedly take away only. So we had to buy bottle water, which is ridiculous. There’s no toilet available and it can get quit cold inside when you sit near the door as people don’t shut the door properly. The price is steep for the portion sizes and lack of service."

"This is definitely the best Korean fire chicken near London. I’ve been there twice a month after my friend’s recommendation and I invited other friends to go as well. The chicken is very crispy and juice. The chicken’s quality is very good. It’s a take away shop but serves with restaurants’s quality! The owner is very friendly as well. Everyone is very happy!"

"Definitely the best Fried Chicken I've ever had !!! We ordered half: Original and Honey and half cheesy. Original was very crispy, cheesy was very tasty,and honey was so originally taste: sweet and spicy that was amazing. The chicken quality was very good and juicy . The radish pickles were awesome. All dishes are made freshly so you need too wait but it is definitely worth waiting!! The owner is a nice person, very helpful Highly recommend!!"

"This is one of the best Korean Fried Chicken I had in UK!!! I ordered half half - Original and Soya garlic and it was amazing!! Original was very crispy and soya garlic was very addictive and authentic. The chicken quality was very good and juicy. The radish pickle was also very good. They made it freshly so it is definitely worth waiting especially during busy times."
