"Had a craving for some chips and went to the right place here. Pleasant chap serving and the chips were without fault. Good quality potatoes and cooked spot on. Ignore the one star review 5 months ago. I have never been to a chippy where the price of cod on the board includes the chips!."

"Got hungry on an errant and decided to try it out. It had a clean look with a menu board high up behind the back wall. I placed my order and couldn't guess what to do next because there was no cash register or pay point in the clear for everyone to see. After some hesitation I just flashed my debit card to signal that I was ready to pay. A volley of choruses flew from behind the counter telling me that they took cash only. So they directed me to the ATM across the road. I dashed out and brought back the crispy notes they wanted. In a moment's wait my order was done and asked for my bill. I was so taken aback by the total as it was way too much than what I was expecting. What happened? 'The price on the menu is for cod only and there is a separate price for chips.' I just lost it there, I was prepared to walk out. I think they read my mind in an instant and rounded the bill down. Even after that gesture I feel they deliberately avoid bringing the bill upfront (its a takeaway) to swindle cash out of unsuspecting customers."
