"Food was decent - I had chicken liver pate which was nice and lamb shank, which was good but not great, I had to season it to get flavour out of the meat but the cooking of it was great. The gravy was really good. Service was a bit slow but there was 8 of us, the atmosphere was absolutely fine again nothing special but just fine."

"Nice place clean and well presented. Food was good although the portions were small. Staff were helpful but there were not enough of them the young lady serving us was on her own for much of the time and was consequently run off her feet."

"Never had a bad meal and is usually the first choice "go to" when family are visiting. Lots of choices and always immaculately prepared. Staff have always been friendly and professional. Can sometimes get quite loud in the restaurant due to the hard surfaces reflecting the noise which is the only negative. Can always eat in the bar area where softer furnishings mute things a little better but don't let this put you off. Sunday dinners the best for miles!"

"Short visit to Manchester to visit family. Son and daughter in law booked this for us. Excellent service from young staff. All mains served together and every main course different except 2 fish dishes. All excellent. Fish perfectly cooked and fish medley just as delicious. Production manager in a fish processing plant so can safely say 100% satisfied. Two young girls looking after us were well capable. We will definitely be back on our next visit."

"Went for Saturday lunch with two of my children we sat in the bar area think you need to book for the dining area.. not sure.. the food we had was really good the guy behind the bar was very helpful and knew his job the beer choice is very limited if you drink real ale as I do but what I had was OK the car park is small for the size of the place unless I didn't see another area.. so really pretty good"
