"Went there last night with my friend. After being seated and given poppadom as a starter and taking our drinks order, we had to wait ages until they took our order for the mains. There were workers standing around, but apparently, they couldn't take orders, which I thought was weird. The turnaround from ordering to getting our food was pretty quick to be fair. We ordered 2 plain naan, 1 pilau rice, Lamb Bhuna, and a Chicken Saag. The lamb was too hard, and I ordered it medium, but there was no kick to whatsoever, so it just tasted bland. The chicken saag was nice, though. We did have to sit through a 20-minute fire alarm. That was very annoying. Also I didn’t realise they sell Alcohol so a heads up for my Muslims."

"Food was delicious as always. Service was a bit slow despite there were many servers standing... we'll come back again! My husband's been coming here for over 20 years!"

"My dad has been coming here for 25 years. He’s taken me quite a few times. Timeliness hasn’t always been their strong suit in my opinion of the times I’ve been, but last night took the biscuit. Service was absolutely dire. We tried to ring to book, but they didn’t take bookings. We turned up and got a table. The restaurant was half full. No warning of the fact we had to wait 1h30 for our food to be put in front of us (so we couldn’t make an informed decision if it was worth being seated or not). We were literally about to ask for the bill and leave, when our food turned up at that moment. We ended up eating as quickly as we could to get out as soon as possible. Really poor effort. We won’t be going again. Time to choose a new go-to dine-in Indian restaurant."

"Amazing food, ambience and service. Go early if you want to have dinner. Preferably before 8pm as it tends to be really busy around then. Can't complain about the food. Their lamb briyani, madras curry and naan are grand! Their mango lassi too!"

"Visited 19/03/2022, good size enclosed waiting area (heated) as you go through first set of doors, seen to very quickly and for a Friday night and restaurant being busy only took 5minutes to be taken through next set of doors into the main dining area and seated for a table of 4. The service was attentive and food came at a decent pace considering how busy the establishment was. I would say that the mix grill sizzler was pricey in comparison to other places and don’t get as much as you would portion was , perhaps for the same price and for value offering a version for 2 people similar to what you would find as meat platters elsewhere. The friends stated that their lamb and vegetarian saag paneer dish was good and that the naan and rice were tasty. The menu is limited but the food is tasty so worth a visit if your in the Rusholme area and fancy a venue for the nostalgia of one of the ongoing originals of the infamous curry mile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
