"I think the food has gone downhill since it changed hands. The food used to be really good value for money with home made tasting food. The cheese n onion pie was to die for. Sadly it's just a bog standard pie now with more pastry than filling. I went in with a friend just before Xmas. I booked just under a week before and was disappointed to be told the Xmas menu could only be chosen from if booked a week before. When we got there, those having Xmas menu food had dressed tables with crackers. We had a table where we were sat practically on top of the people on the next table with no alternative available. We felt like second class customers and the food I had; featherblade beef was far from feathery, it was tough. Nice mash and green beans though. Won't be wearing in there again unless the menu radically changes."
