"Although I've always enjoyed stopping by the Hare & Hounds Inn during walks with my dog, today was my first time trying their food, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a pie, and it was fantastic - packed with flavor and generously portioned. My only quibble was with the mashed potatoes, which were a bit dense for my liking. Nonetheless, I'd highly recommend the Hare & Hounds to anyone in the area, whether you're looking for a drink or a meal. And in the colder months, the cozy fires make for a particularly inviting atmosphere."

"This is one of the most stunning pubs I have visited. You get a great view of the city from the outside seating areas. There are few walking trails nearby. The staff and the service was flawless. Will definitely visit again"

"The location is stunning, lovely decorated, perfect to enjoy a meal. The service was not the best though: we waited a while to be seated because there was no one at the desk when we came in. When the manager showed us the table, she informed us that there were no vegetables left (other than carrots and peas) and also some of the day’s specials were gone. This was a surprising info considering that it’s a well known place and it’s Sunday and there is a booking system, so I suppose you can roughly plan you’ll need more food supplies. Katie was our waitress and she was kind, smiley and welcoming. We ordered a starter and 2 Sunday roasts. We waited 25’ for the starters and, once finished, more than 40’ for the mains, which arrived only after we asked for updates (this means that we sat at the table at 5 and ate our mains at 6.15). The food was absolutely delicious but we were quite disappointed by the size of the 2 roasts: 14.30£ each and 45’ waiting were not worthy. If you want to go, don’t visit on a Sunday afternoon."
