"Food and service was average. Staff we're disinterested. Couldn't give them anymore than 3 stars, which is disappointing because the pub looks like it should be something special, but it's not. The gammon was disappointing, the pastry on the beef pie was bullet proof, and the meat in the cheeseburger had no real taste, and to top it off, we ordered a desert that never arrived, and when we asked where it was, the staff looked at each other like I'd asked them something really complicated, so definitely a very disappointing visit - won't be going back in a rush."

"The staff was always attentive to your needs, the service was done with speed and enthusiasm. The food was plentiful, the mashed potatoes was too dry and it did need more variation with vegetables and 3 different variations of potatoes. Great value for money and the takeaway cake is a fantastic idea"

"This place is a regular haunt of ours. Excellent value for money and the food is pub grub with good portion sizes. What you see is what you get, its an affordable, family friendly venue. Did find on our last visit service was a bit slow with what appeared to be management staff stood round chatting rather than mucking in to speed things along?"
